Kinesiology & Stretch Therapy - More Info

Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement, focusing on understanding how the body functions and moves in various contexts, including physical activity, health, and rehabilitation. Rooted in anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, and psychology, kinesiology explores how muscles, bones, and joints work together to create movement, as well as how physical activity impacts overall health and performance.

As a multidisciplinary field, kinesiology applies its principles to a wide range of settings, from sports performance and injury prevention to rehabilitation and workplace ergonomics. Kinesiologists analyze movement patterns to identify inefficiencies, imbalances, or potential risks, developing strategies to enhance performance, reduce injury, and improve overall function. This makes kinesiology valuable for athletes, individuals recovering from injuries, or those managing chronic conditions such as arthritis or diabetes.

Stretch therapy is a pain free, table based therapy that involves passive stretching. The clients goal is to relax and focus on deep breathing, and allow the therapist to do all the work! This allows you to get a much deeper stretch and into postures that you typically cannot do on your own. You will notice not only an ease in tightness and tension, improved range of motion and flexibility, but also an improvement in posture, recovery from workouts, circulation, digestion, and more!
